I'll second that. Given that the protocol needed to talk to the PhotoTrackr is sufficiently unique that nothing else on the planet can talk to the thing, doesn't it follow that your software probably isn't going to be very useful to users who haven't bought a device from you? (At least the part which downloads the data from the device, which is all I want to have working right now.) Shouldn't the fact that they've already paid you for a piece of hardware be enough? Is it really a good idea to piss off your paying customers for no reason?
I'm cross today because, after giving up on ever connecting it to the mac, and finding an old PC, and installing XP, and networking this, I was in the end told that my serial number has been used (by someone before they sealed the box, perhaps?) so I have to wait for support to get around to reading their email...
