Photo Editing

 

Rotating

- Select photos in the Thumbnail view or switch current photo in Detail view.

- Choose menu item 'Edit'->'Rotate Left' (or 'Rotate Right') to rotate photos 90 degrees counter clockwise (or clockwise).


The corresponding buttons to rotate photos can be found in album window top bar (Mac version).



Enhancing

GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr enables enhancing image brightness and contrast for photos automatically with one-click. With only one click, the picture quality can be enhanced even if the original photo was taken under incorrect exposure (see sample pictures below).



- Select photos in the Thumbnail view or switch current photo in Detail view.

- Click button 'Auto Enhance Image', or choose menu item 'Image Process'->'Auto Enhance Image'.

(In Mac version, 'Auto Enhance Image' button can be found in Edit extra panel.)

The enhanced photo will never overwrite the original file, instead, it will be imported into current album as a new photo.



Cropping

The cropping tool is quite easy to use. You can crop photos by specifying an aspect ratio to fit 6x4" print, 7x5" print, VGA screen, DVD wide screen or others.

- Select photos in Thumbnail view or switch current photo in Detail view.

- Click button 'Crop Image', or choose menu item 'Image Process'->'Crop Image' to put this photo into the 'Crop Image' window.

(In Mac version, 'Crop Image' button can be found in Edit extra panel.)

- Select a specific aspect ratio or 'Any Aspect Ratio' in 'Crop Image' window.



The cropped photo will never overwrite the original file, instead, it will be imported into current album as a new photo.



Adjusting

With GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr, it's easy to fix photos for color balance, brightness, contrast, etc.

- Select photos in Thumbnail view or switch current photo in Detail view.

- Click button 'Adjust Image', or choose menu item 'Image Process'->'Crop Image' to put this photo into the 'Adjust Image' window.

(In Mac version, 'Adjust Image' button can be found in Edit extra panel.)

- You can fix image white balance by sliding three color adjustment slide bars, or enable Keep Color Balance option to adjust image brightness. Also, move Contrast slide bar to adjust image contrast.

Here is a sample, the original photo was taken under the sunset lights, the sky color looks too warm (yellow). With the color/brightness adjustment of the Yellow-Blue channel, the blue sky returned immediately.

Effects

Give Black & White or Sepia effect to your photos.

- Select photos in Thumbnail view or switch current photo in Detail view.

- Click button 'B&W Effect' (or 'Sepia Effect'), or choose menu item 'Image Process'->'B&W Effect' (or 'Sepia Effect').


(In Mac version, 'B&W Effect' and 'Sepia Effect' buttons can be found in Edit extra panel.)

The processed photo with Black & White or Sepia effect will never overwrite the original file, instead, it will be imported into current album as a new photo.
