File Name
If you want to change the file name for current photo, just double click the item File Name in the photo information section, then type a new filename in an editable text field.

EXIF Tags
At the time when a shot is taken, the camera usually writes additional camera parameters into EXIF data along with the image in a JPEG file. During photo importing, the photo properties will be retrieved from the EXIF data tags enclosed in JPEG file, such as Camera Model, Shutter Speed, Flash status, etc.

The photo properties can be modified, but the modified properties won't be written into EXIF of the original JPEG files automatically. Instead, GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr saves them in a separate XML file. The program will keep all the modifications away from the original file as much as possible to perserve the contents of originals.

Location Tags
One of the key features of GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr is to organize photos by location. So all photos in PhotoTrackr album may have a set of properties pointing to a place where the photo was taken. These geographical properties are Longitude, Latitude and Elevation. For additional details, please refer to section GPS and Geotagging (Mac) in this document.

After editing Longitude, Latitude or Elevation property, you can also choose menu item 'EXIF Tools'-> 'Merge GPS Metadata into JPEG' to write location data into original JPEG files.

Notes and keywords

User can add notes and keywords for each photo imported in PhotoTrackr album. Select Notes panel in extra drawer to see the text box for editing note and a keyword list.

Favorite Keywords Presets (Mac only)
In order to categorize photos more flexibly, sometimes the global keywords are also very important. However, photo albums do often get moved or copied between different computers. To a certain extent, the global keywords we need are not only applied to one location. So we provided Favorite Keywords Presets, a mechanism for organizing the global keywords between different locations.

The Favorite Keywords Presets combo box appears below the keywords list in Notes panel.
- To save the current keywords list to a Favorite Keywords Preset, please enter a name in the combo box first, and click button ‘Save’.
- To load a Favorite Keywords Preset to the current keywords list, please select a preset listed in combo box, and click button ‘Load’. To update keywords list, PhotoTrackr provides two modes that can be chosen, ‘Replace’ or ‘Merge’.

Stars
You can mark stars for the photos as your favorites. Select one or more photos in Thumbnail view, or switch current photo in Detail view. Click Star button in Notes panel to add or remove stars for the photos.
