  2. Adjust the clock (GPS Time Synchronization) of your digital camera to match the GPS time:
    1. Place the GPS PhotoTrackr unit where it has a clear view of the sky
    2. Wait for the PhotoTrackr to acquire a GPS position fix (Refer to Section III for light signals). [note: If the device is being used for the first time, please leave it outdoor where there is open sky for 15-20 minutes. That's the amount of time it takes to initially acquire all the satellite information. After the first time, it usually takes less than a minute to get the GPS fix. But if the battery is removed, the data stored in the unit will be erased and thus it needs another 15-20 minutes to acquire all the satellite information.]
    3. Install the PhotoTrackr mapping program. (Refer to Section I)
    4. Connect the GPS PhotoTrackr to the computer via USB cable and proceed to hardware installation (refer to Section II)
    5. Start up the PhotoTrackr program (Note: if it's your first time to use the program, you will be asked to obtain a Google Map API key as shown in Figure 4.2. Sign in with your Google account and continue.)
