Photo Management
  1. Images added to the PhotoTrackr software are organized by Date, Group, and Log Files:
    1.  “By Date” (Area 1)shows all the images taken on a particular day.  The date that associates with the images will be bolded. Click on any of the dates in the calendar will show all images taken on that day. Checking the “Display Trip Breadcrumb” box will display the travel log of the trip on the selected date
    2.  “By Group” (Area 2) shows all images belong to the same group.  The group is assigned when the images are added.  Click on any image group will show all images within the same group. Checking the “Display Trip Breadcrumb” will display the travel log of the trip on the selected group
    3.  “By Log Files” (Area 3) will show all images taken in a particular trip. Click on any Trip Records will show all images taken in that trip. [During the image location analysis process, the images are linked to the log file that contains the image’s location information.  In this section, user will also be able to play back the trip breadcrumb by clicking on the “Play” button.  Sliding the slider next to the play button will adjust the play back speed.   2. Photos thumbnails will be listed on the upper portion of the screen.  Photos that have location information will have Burly Wood color on their titles; photos that do not have location information will have white background on the titles. (Figure 5.b.2)
  3. To see each image, click the thumbnails on the photo list.  If location information is available for the selected image, the corresponding location of the image will be shown on the map screen.  User can also click on the red pushpin on the map to see the image taken on the pushpin spot.   4. To zoom in the images, user can double click on the image thumbnail, or click on the images on the left corner after a photo has been selected, or click on the images from the map pop-up. (Figure 5.b.3)

  6. To change the image title and description, select the image and type in the Title and Description in the box below the image list section. (Figure 5.b.4)
  7. To change the group assignment of the image(s), select one or more images from the list and choose a group from the drop-down list (Figure 5.b.5).  A new group can also be created by clicking on the “New Group” button next to the group drop-down list.

  9. If the image was not taken in the computer’s current time zone, or the log files were downloaded after the images have been added to the software, the image location can be reanalyzed by right clicking on the image(s) and choose “Reanalyze” (Figure 5.b.6). Choose which time zone the image was taken to ensure accurate location match.
  10. To Print images, choose “Print Image” and specify whether to overlay the GPS coordinates and/or Dates on the images (see Figure 5.b.7).
  11. To save image to a different location, choose “Export Images”.  Specify either the destination directory (when more than one images are selected to be exported), or the filename of the exported image.  Finally, choose whether to overlay the GPS coordinates and/or Dates on the image(s).   13. To delete images from the software, select the image(s) to delete and press the “Delete” key on the keyboard or right click on the image and select "delete".
  14. To rename images, right click on the images and select "rename".
